Week 9's COVID-19 Report

Week 9:

While Week 7 and 8 represent a transition away from lockdown , Week9, from 5/10 through 5/17, provides the first set of fatalities whose infection started at the beginning of the reopening period. While these look minimal from an overall statewide summary of the numbers, the results from the five regions differ: Gulf Coast and Border between 6 and 7 Fatalities per 1M population; Hill Country and North Texas 9, with Panhandle the highest at 15. Another week or two will be needed to establish whether numbers climb, line-out, or decrease.
