Week 66's COVID-19 Report (part 2)

This is the second part of my Week 66 Covid-19 Report. The first had to do with the fact that the Delta Variant is now a Variant of Concern. This one provides the Vaccination numbers which correspond to 6/19.

As shown, Vaccination Coverage varies from 35% to 61% depending on where you are in the state. This past week, four out of five regions boosted their numbers by 2-3%. As a result, Webb, Presidio, Hidalgo, and Star counties (all along the Border) exceed 60%. In addition, Travis county (58%) is on the verge of reaching this milestone. (Other results you read may differ on age brackets and whether one or two doses are being considered. From one week to the next, my tables are based on: the number of fully vaccinated in 2019 population estimates of vaccine-eligible population age 12 and above).

While the whole Border will reach 60% Vaccinated by the end of July, it will take the rest of the state until Labor Day to get to this level of protection. Combined with the Distribution of the Delta Variant, this will be a race to follow.
