Week 54's COVID-19 Report

Week 54:

Today is Monday, April 5 and this is my Covid-19 Report for Week 54 (ending April 4). It follows last week's trends and gets into more detail on the Border's "tri-hump" Hospitalization numbers. Such results come from separate parts of the Border Region. As shown in the call-out, El Paso peaks in November while the Rio Grande Valley peaks in January. Laredo is well below both results and together, all three are small relative to totals in the rest of the state.

The Variant numbers, see Table, continue to increase. Since last week, the Texas DSHS has introduced a Pending Category - whose present value, 577, represents the number of samples that are waiting further documentation that includes "backassignment" to a county.
