Week 32:
This is Week 32's Covid-19 Report. As you know, if you have been following along - hospitalizations have been rising in Texas. With my algorithm to tabulate the DSHS Hospitalization metrics according to region of the State, the latest results are shown below. Your takeaways are: 1) Such increases are being led by North Texas, Border, and Panhandle Regions. The Hill Country and Gulf Coast hospitalizations remain steady - not changing much from previous Phase 3 levels reached before last Summer's Surge; and 2) Last week, I drilled down into the Border data to show that El Paso is the primary driver behind this region's increase in Covid-19 patients. A similar analysis for North Texas indicates that the Dallas-Fort Worth Area is where their hospitalization numbers have grown since the end of September. The other cities and counties for this part of the state show little, if any, change over the same period.
